Average Blog Post Length Between 2011 and 2015
The objective of this research is to compare the content quality of blogs published between 2011 and 2015. Since the year 2011, blogging and content quality has seen the greatest changes, therefore I thought it would be worthwhile to analyze these pieces against those published more recently.
According to a study by Orbit Media, the average blog post length between 2011 and 2015 was 935 words. However, the study also showed that there was a wide range in word counts for different types of blog posts. For example, opinion posts were much longer than list posts or product reviews.
